A Class For You and Baby

Excited to be offering RIE® inspired Parent-child classes to the community. Intimate groups of parents and children (determined by age) will meet in a calm, nurturing environment. 

Each class is a combination of discussion and sensitive observation of your baby at play. The pace is determined by the parent’s interests and the children’s needs as you grow together throughout the first two years of the infant’s life. This Respectful Parent-Child class is a gentle way to learn respectful parenting in a peaceful setting.

Learning, Growing and Community

Respectful Parent-Child classes offer a relaxed and supervised playgroup environment for babies to interact with peers, explore age-appropriate activities, and engage in free movement and motor challenges. These classes are facilitated by a trained RIE® Associate, allowing parents to observe their child, receive support from child development science, experiment with new parenting approaches, and develop trust in their child’s development.

The focus is on self-directed play, enabling infants to explore, play, and interact freely with others, fostering their natural learning and growth. The classes also emphasize early relational health, helping parents better understand their infants, create a secure attachment, and develop mindfulness in responding to their baby’s needs.

Furthermore, these RIE® inspired classes encourage parents to reflect on their unique parenting styles and align them with best practices in infant/toddler development through the Educaring® Approach. Lastly, these classes foster a sense of community, with groups continuing together until the youngest child turns two, often leading to lifelong friendships among parents and their infants.
